  7. CompuShow is  a graphics display  program for CompuServe  GIF
  8. (version  "87a"  and  "89a"),  RLE,  MacPaint,  PC  Paint, PC
  9. Paintbrush,  Dr.  Halo,  Ega  Paint,  ColoRix,  Targa, Deluxe
  10. Paint, Windows  Paint BMP, TIFF and  GEM/Ventura IMG graphics
  11. images.  It  supports  Hercules,  CGA,  PCjr/Tandy-1000, EGA,
  12. "Super-EGA",   MCGA,   VGA,   XGA,   "Super-VGA",   the   IBM
  13. Professional   Graphics  Controller   and  8514/A   adapters.
  14. Super-VGA support includes Ahead  Systems, ATI, AcuMos, Chips
  15. & Technologies,  Compaq,   DGIS,  Everex,  Genoa,   NCR,  Oak
  16. Technologies, Paradise, STB, Tseng  Labs, Trident, Video7 and
  17. VESA  VBE adapters  and full  color (Targa  16/24/32 and TIFF
  18. class R) graphics on "Hi-Color" cards including ATI, Hercules
  19. Graphics  Station,  XGA,  STB  Ergo,  Tseng  Labs,  and  VESA
  20. (version  1.2).  CompuShow  also  provides  16 color graphics
  21. displays  on  a  CGA,  Amstrad  PC1512,  AT&T  6300,  Cirrus,
  22. Hercules InColor, Plantronics, and Tandy 1000SL/TL. Files are
  23. selected for display from  an on-screen file directory, which
  24. may be sorted by name,  extension, size or date, in ascending
  25. or descending  sequence. You move  around the file  directory
  26. using cursor arrow keys  or a microsoft-compatible mouse. You
  27. may log  to a different  disk drive, change  sub-directories,
  28. copy,  rename, and  delete files.  The program  automatically
  29. selects  the best  display mode  for any  graphic, or you may
  30. display it  in any mode  available on your  graphics adapter.
  31. Images larger  than the screen  may be panned  vertically and
  32. horizontally. If EMS or XMS  memory is available, you may pan
  33. images as  large as 1280x1024x256. Colors  may be adjusted on
  34. EGA, MCGA, and VGA systems, and the adjusted palette saved to
  35. disk.

  37. Program Limitations: The enhanced (registered) version of the
  38. program provides printing on  monochrome and color dot matrix
  39. and laser printers and includes  an automatic Slide Show, and
  40. a system configuration program.
