  7. Release  six of  Graphic Workshop  represents a  complete re-
  8. write of the package.
  9.  
  10. Graphic  Workshop  is  a  program  for  working with computer
  11. bitmapped graphic  files. It will handle  most of the popular
  12. formats, as listed in the contents section of this file.
  13.  
  14. Graphic workshop  is a simple, menu  driven environment which
  15. will  let  you  perform   the  following  operations  on  the
  16. aforementioned files.
  17.  
  18. - View them.
  19. - Convert between any two formats (with a few restrictions).
  20. - Print them to any LaserJet Plus compatible or PostScript laser
  21.   and many dot matrix printers. Graphic Workshop can print colour
  22.   pictures to colour PostScript and inkjet printers.
  23. - Dither the colour ones to black and white.
  24. - Reverse them.
  25. - Rotate and flip them.
  26. - Scale them.
  27. - Reduce the number of colours in them and do colour dithering.
  28. - Sharpen, soften and otherwise wreak special effects on them.
  29. - Crop them down to smaller files
  30. - Scan in completely new files, assuming that you have a
  31.   supported scanner.
  32. - Adjust the brightness and colour balance of the colour ones.

  34. Using Graphic Workshop, you can  have your image files in the
  35. formats  that your  software recognizes,  all without keeping
  36. track  of numerous  funky utilities.  In addition,  using the
  37. halftoning and dithering facilities  of Graphic Workshop, you
  38. can  convert full  colour  digitized  photographs for  use as
  39. superb black  and white clip  art, suitable for  inclusion in
  40. your documents.

  42. Graphic Workshop will handle image files of any size. It will
  43. use extended  or expanded memory  if you have  some, and disk
  44. space if you don't. It has  a fast and easily understood user
  45. interface. Hopefully,  it lacks even  the merest vestiges  of
  46. bugs... a likely story, but we hope so.

  48. Graphic Workshop will drive all of the popular display cards.
