Update
Solar is a fun and informative solar eclipse prediction
program. Displays all solar eclipse tabular data: Local
Circumstances, central line limits, partial phase limits,
etc. View/print the eclipse path on a rectangular map
projection of the world. You can select from 180 eclipses
from March 7, 1951 to May 9, 2032.
New features:
Graphic Simulation Mode:
This option allows you to view how the
eclipse will look at a selected location.
QuickMap Graphic Mode:
This option will immediately display a
rectangular map projection of the world and
begin plotting the eclipse path. You no
longer have to wait until the world map
drawing is completed.
One of SOLAR's unique capabilities is for planning purposes.
You can check at a glance whether or not an eclipse will be
visible at a selected site. If it is, will it be a total
eclipse? How long? SOLAR can easily give you these answers
and more.
Hardware Requirements:
IBM compatible computer, 512K RAM, Hercules, CGA, EGA, MCGA,
VGA, SVGA, or Monochrome monitors.
Epson compatible or Laserjet printer is required to print
maps.
MS-DOS 2.11 or higher. Hard Drive recommended but not
required.
