  6.           We  started developing  4DOS when  we realized that
  7. our computers  could be a  lot more powerful  and a lot  more
  8. helpful than they were. Whether  you are a computer novice or
  9. an experienced power  user, we think that 4DOS  will help you
  10. get the most out of your IBM PC or compatible computer.

  12.           Technically, 4DOS is a  command interpreter or "DOS
  13. Shell." That means that it reacts to the commands you type at
  14. the C> prompt. We've designed 4DOS  so that you don't have to
  15. change your  computing habits or unlearn  anything to use it.
  16. If you know how to display a directory, copy a file, or start
  17. an  application program,  you already  know how  to use 4DOS.
  18. 4DOS  understands all  of the  commands you  know and adds to
  19. them. Its purpose  is to make DOS friendlier,  easier to use,
  20. and much  more powerful and versatile,  without requiring you
  21. to use  or learn a new  program, a new set  of commands, or a
  22. new style of work.

  24.           Once you have 4DOS installed, you can learn its new
  25. features at your  own pace. It has more  than 40 new commands
  26. and scores of enhanced features,  but you don't have to learn
  27. them  all  at  once.  Relax,  enjoy  4DOS's power, and browse
  28. through the  manual occasionally. Press  the F1 key  whenever
  29. you  need help.  4DOS will  soon become  an essential part of
  30. your  computer,  and  you'll  wonder  how  you ever got along
  31. without it.

  37.           We are  constantly working to improve  4DOS. If you
  38. have suggestions  for features or commands  that you think we
  39. should include in the next version, or any other way we could
  40. improve  our  product,  please  let  us  know.  Many  of  the
  41. improvements in  this version of  4DOS were suggested  by our
  42. users, and while we can't  promise to include every suggested
  43. feature, we  really do appreciate  and pay attention  to your
  44. comments.

  46.           If you're an OS/2  user, JP Software offers another
  47. product, 4OS2, as a complete replacement for the OS/2 command
  48. processor (CMD.EXE).  4OS2 provides the same  command set and
  49. syntax as 4DOS, with several OS/2 commands added. You can use
  50. it to maintain a common  working environment and run the same
  51. batch  files  under  OS/2  and  DOS.  4OS2  is available at a
  52. discounted price for 4DOS users. Contact JP Software for more
