  1. What's new in 4PRINT Version 3.1:

  3. Version 3.1 includes support for many additional HP LaserJet-
  4. compatible and close-compatible printers, including the HP DeskJet,
  5. the LaserMaster (Ricoh 4081 engine) and Epson GQ3500.  In addition,
  6. special support has been included for the HP LaserJet IID duplex
  7. printer.  A4 size paper is also supported for the European market.

  9. A shareware Letter Gothic font from Elfring Soft Fonts has been
  10. included for those printers which don't have a built-in line printer
  11. landscape font (such as the LaserJet+) and for those people who would
  12. like to create more attractive printouts.
  13.  
  14. 4PRINT now combines columns to print spreadsheets, documents and 
  15. program listings up to 165 characters wide.  In addition, 4PRINT can
  16. automatically download an internal soft font which prints 110
  17. characters across in two columns or 230 characters across in a single
  18. column.

  20. Limited support for proportional fonts and IBM-style binder creation
  21. has been added.  In addition, the user can now specify non-standard
  22. tab width processing (especially useful for program listings), can
  23. ask for multiple copies of any number of documents to be printed in a
  24. single run, and can specify program defaults through the 4PRINT
  25. environment variable.

  27. For those who purchase 4PRINT with disk, a new utility (in addition to
  28. 4FOLD) is being supplied called KAZAP.  This program automatically
  29. zaps 4PRINT.EXE to easily set all program defaults without taking up
  30. environment space.
