  28. Syntax: FINDF [filename.ext] [/S(hort display format)]

  31. With the  growing storage capacities  of modern  disk drives,
  32. more and  more files  can be  kept online,  in more  and more
  33. subdirectories.  With so  much space available, files  can be
  34. misplaced more efficiently than ever before.
  35.  
  36. FINDF(ile) searches  the root and  all subdirectories  of the
  37. default  drive for  specified file(s),  and  writes the  file
  38. information to screen or disk.  Useful for locating misplaced
  39. files  or  for   generating  a  listing  of   all  files  and
  40. subdirectories on a drive.

  42. FINDF has several output formats.   In default mode, complete
  43. data  is  given  for  each   file  found:  drive,  directory,
  44. filename.ext,  size,   date,  time.   In   optional  [/S(hort
  45. display)] mode,  only the drive, directory,  and filename.ext
  46. are given.
  47.  
  48. Output  can  be redirected  to  a  file for  documenting  the
  49. contents of  a disk.   Output includes  system date  and time
  50. stamp (documentation includes  a sample batch file  that will
  51. generate a  listing of  all files  and subdirectories  on the
  52. default drive).

  55.                         with at least 64K RAM.
