JADU v1.3 J.C. Ratjen REGISTRATION $25.00
JADU UTILITY FILE MANAGEMENT DOSSHELL SHELL RATJEN
New Release
(JADU - Just Another Directory Utility)
JADU is a file manager/shell that was built with ease of use
and convenience in mind. I have purposely kept the use of
function keys to a minimum, while striving to use easily
remembered mnemonics for the commands. In many cases a
command can be invoked by more than one method (for example,
help can be gotten by pressing <F1>, 'H', or '?').
Most users have a set of favorite utilities to which they
have become accustomed. JADU does not lock the user into
any one product. Thus the person who uses PAK will find
JADU as useful as the person who uses PKZIP (besides
archivers, you can also specify dearcers, arc viewers,
editors, print utilities, and file finders).
Besides these features JADU allows the user to define
commands to be executed based upon the extension of a target
file and the directory in which it resides. For example,
you can configure JADU to invoke LIST for all .DOC files
unless the file is in your word processing directory. In
that case you can have JADU run your word processor to edit
the file.
Of course JADU also does what all good file managers do -
copies, moves, deletes and renames files, but I think you'll
find that it's easier to use and more powerful than what
you're using now. Give it a try today!
