TITLE : What is Paradox 4.0 Runtime?
Runtime is a non-interactive version of Paradox that can only
play Paradox Application Language (PAL) scripts. If you have
developed PAL scripts to create a complete application, then
Paradox Runtime will play the script without having regular
interactive Paradox. This benefits the end user allowing them to
use your application without owning Paradox.
Paradox Runtime lets you distribute the power of Paradox with
your application in a highly economical fashion. Paradox Runtime
users have access to all Paradox capabilities and operations that
are built into the application they are using. The Runtime
License allows you to make unlimited copies of Paradox Runtime in
order to distribute copies of your application.
Applications that run under Paradox Runtime can support all of
Paradox's multiuser capabilities. These features are fully
described in the Paradox User's Guide, the PAL Reference, and PAL
Programmer's Guide.
When you develop and distribute applications as a registered
Paradox user, you agree:
- To retain in your applications, without any alteration,
the Paradox Runtime startup screen that is displayed when
the program loads into memory
- To obtain prior written permission to use, adapt or
reproduce any portion of the written or on-screen
documentation that accompanies Paradox if you want to
reproduce any portions of them in your application
