GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
HorseCalc is a one-screen thoroughbred handicapping
calculator. The user enters seven data items, taken
from the Daily Racing Form, for each horse he wants
to evaluate:
1. Jockey's winning percentage
2. Trainer's winning percentage
3. Horse's total number of races
4. Horse's total number of wins
5. Most recent Beyer Speed Rating
6. Second-most recent Beyer Speed Rating
7. Third-most recent Beyer Speed Rating
The program performs calculations on the seven items
listed above and displays an "Overall Ability Rating".
The horse with the highest "Overall Ability Rating" in
any given race is the best bet.
Detailed operating instructions are contained in the
program's HELP screens.
USE OF THE RACING FORM:
The Daily Racing Form is published the day before each
racing day. It appears on many newsstands during the
racing season. If it can't be found easily, you can
simply call the office at the nearest race track; they
will be glad to tell you where the Form can be
purchased. The racing fan can do his homework with
the aid of HorseCalc before going to the track. The
Racing Form has a page for beginners that tells where
each piece of information can be found among the maze of
numbers. The HorsCalc user can easily locate the
seven necessary data items. The calculated "Overall
Ability Rating" produced by the program can then be
noted on the Form to aid the bettor's decisions at the
track.
REGISTERED USERS WILL RECEIVE:
1. An updated version of the program with a special
feature that selects a "Super Pick" horse. A "Super
Pick" horse is one that has several winning
characteristics that make it an unusually good bet.
Not every race has a "Super Pick", but when it
does you will want to know it. According to my
research, it wins 40% to 60% of the time!
2. A printed manual containing:
(1) Detailed operating instructions for the
program.
(2) A a proven betting strategy for use with
HorseCalc.
(3) An analysis of the logic behind HorseCalc and
why it works.
3. As a special bonus, registered users will receive a
FREE greyhound handicapping program.
Note: Shareware is not free. This unregistered version
is for your evaluation. If you continue to use this copy-
righted program, please send your registration fee of
$29.95 to:
