Softimage 3D Design Guide
The CD-ROM enclosed with the Softimage 3D Design Guide
is loaded with the following materials that you can
use to re-create the projects in the book, and use in
your own work:
* Softimage scene databases for the projects, including
materials, textures, animations, and models from
Viewpoint DataLabs International, Inc.
* The NuGraf Rendering System from Okino Software--A
3D system that allows you to easily convert and render
a myriad of 3D formats on your PC
* 4Dpaint from 4DVision--A 3D paint application that
plugs into Softimage 3D
* SCULPTOR from 4DVision--An interactive NURBS-based
surface modeler for Windows NT or Windows 95
Directions for use:
To link up the scene databases for each chapter that
contains models or scenes, use the database manager in
Softimage 3D.
To load the NuGraf software, located in the Okino
directory, run Setup from the disk1 directory.
To install the demo versions of 4Dpaint and SCULPTOR,
load the 4DVision directory.
System Requirements for CD-ROM
Pentium-based computer
16MB RAM or greater
VGA (256 colors)
Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 95
Softimage 3D not included
Known limitations of product
If your system does not meet the CD-ROM's minimum
requirements, you may experience video or audio delays.
