  9. Here are a few tips for maximizing your score in Line Up.

  11. <UL>
  12. <li>Try to keep the middle of the board free of pieces so that there are open paths
  13. to move pieces.
  14. <li>Try for long lines or multiple lines consisting of a mixture of horizontal, vertical
  15. and diagonal lines. These score much higher then a line of 5 pieces. 
  16. <li>Go for long lines early in the game. Later in the game when 4, 5, or more pieces are 
  17. being added for each move, concentrate on removing pieces quickly.
  18. <li>Be wise in your use of bombs. Use them to free up areas that have no paths to them (such as corners).
  19. <li>When the board starts filling up, keep the ends of 4 piece lines free. You never know when 
  20. the new piece being added to the board might match the line.
