  17. A while ago I was in a team designing some networking software.  A few
  18. days into the design we had several modules with the usual, fairly, meaningful
  19. three letter arconyms except for one module which was called TAL:  The
  20. Anonymous Lump.  We kept meaning to change it since the design documentation
  21. formed part of our deliverable but never quite got round to it.

  23. It wasn't until we had actually implemented the software and we were just
  24. tidying up the documentation that we actually did something about it:  the
  25. glossary said that TAL meant, Task Allocation Logic.
