  3. The angle at which one plane is tilted to another. For example:
  4. (a) the inclination of a planetary ORBIT is normally taken to mean the angle between the plane of the ORBIT and the plane of the Earth's ORBIT.
  5. (b) equatorial inclination of a PLANET is the angle between the plane of its equator and its orbit plane.
  6. (c) the inclination of the ORBIT of an ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE is the angle at which its orbit plane intersects the plane of the equator.
