- The "What Am I Getting For My $7.50 Along With The News" Part!
-
-
- This issue includes:
-
- VanTerm by William VanNest, Jr. This is a Shareware program
- that comes with not only VanTerm, but DCopy 3.20 and TRANSFER.ACC.
- De-Arc the program using DCopy 3.20 to another disk (or hard
- drive) and read the enclosed text files regarding usage of
- VanTerm. (Compiled GFA Basic)
-
- PowerCalc, by Alex Davis, is also arc'ed and must be de-
- arc'ed using DCopy 3.20, and contains powerful routines to do
- college level mathematics. It uses a CLI ("command line
- interface") that uses algebraic hierarchy to perform its
- calculations. Sine, cosine, tan and all other
- trigonometric functions are supported, as are the values "e" and
- "pi". The user can also program his own variables, and is only
- limited by RAM available in that aspect. PowerCalc is a Shareware
- release. (Laser C v2.1)
-
- RCopy 3.0, is a utility that can be used by programmers to
- improve their compilation process. What it does is copy pre-
- selected files on boot up to an auto-boot/reset proof RAMdisk
- (such as Shadow, etc... NOT accessory RAMdisks!). Using a RAMdisk
- vastly improves the compilation/assembling process. RCopy 3.0 is
- a PD program. (DevPac STv2.08)
-
- Modem Hunt, by Won Rhee is based loosely on MidiMaze by
- Hybrid Arts. Unlike it's ancestor, it runs via modem, not MIDI.
- This allows you to play against one other person at up to 2400
- baud! Modem Hunt features real time 3-d graphics in a first
- person perspective. Your mission: Use the formidable weapons in
- your possession to slay your opponent. Various bombs and
- weapons that cost you life-points can also be used to "kill your
- enemies!". A great game released as Shareware. (Compiled GFA
- Basic)
-
- "Running Man Demo" by Charles Medley is the Assembly tutorial
- source code and necessary picture files. This animates a single
- "character" across a screen using the GEM VDI function. (DevPac
- STv2.08)
-
- "GFA Basic/Spectrum Viewer" by Charles Medley is also
- included as part of the GFA Basic tutorial for this issue. This
- includes the GFA Basic v2.02 listing, the compiled program, and
- one .SPC file to try it out with. (Compiled GFA Basic)
-
- That's all for this issue, so be ready for next issue, as the
- tutorials get more intense, and we give you more PD/Shareware
- programs for the buck!
