  18.           For our October/November issue  of  STatus,  we  just  simply 
  19.      could  not  devote  the proper time and effort  to  get  the  MIDI 
  20.      feature done!   I'm sorry,  but this is our premiere issue and  we 
  21.      hope  to have comprehensive coverage of this important use of  the 
  22.      ST beginning with issue number 2,  our December/January '90 issue.

  24.           We  hope to have our MIDI coverage extend into the  realm  of 
  25.  
  26.      new keyboards/drum machines and other MIDI instruments, as well as 
  27.      taking a look at the Atari ST related uses of MIDI.
  28.  
  29.           Also,  if  you are a musician,  we'd like to hear  from  you. 
  30.      Right now,  two of us at STatus are spare-time basement musicians, 
  31.      but we'd like to share the experiences of other ST MIDI users  out 
  32.      there.  All you have to do is contact us through the STatus BBS at

  35.           Finally,  we'd like to ask a question:   Is that a 1040ST  in 
  36.      the Paula Abdul video,  "Cold Hearted Snake"???   Hopefully,  next 
  37.      issue will have the answer, along with a "real" article!
