  9.                           WHAT IS SHAREWARE?
  10.  
  11. Shareware  is  a beautiful concept that gives you a  chance  to  "try"
  12. Chinese Checkers and other programs before you "buy" them.  If you try
  13. Chinese Checkers and continue to use it, you are expected to register.
  14.  
  15.                        BENEFITS OF REGISTERING
  16.  
  17. This  shareware  version is a complete and fully  working  version  of
  18. Chinese Checkers, however, there are several benefits of registering:
  19.  
  20.    1.  The   registered   version  has   printed   documentation   and
  21.        professional packaging.
  22.  
  23.    2.  The  registered version uses about 100K less hard  disk  space.
  24.        This is because it doesn't need all the documentation files and
  25.        uses a more powerful method of compressing the graphics files.
  26.  
  27.    3.  You will be notified of major updates to Chinese Checkers which
  28.        you  will generally be able receive for only a  $3.00  shipping
  29.        and  handling charge.  The next major update is  scheduled  for
  30.        September 1st, 1992.

  32.    4.  We will notify registered users when we develop other games  --
  33.        including   games  which  are  not  available   as   shareware.
  34.        Registered  users  will generally receive a discount  when  new
  35.        games are introduced.

  37.    5.  Remember,  the more people that register Chinese Checkers,  the
  38.        more time and effort ImagiSOFT will spend in developing  future
  39.        games and products!

  108. Chinese  Checkers is a commercial software product.  It is  not  free,
  109. nor  is  it in the public domain.  It is   distributed  as  shareware,
  110. which  means  that  you may try the software before you  pay  for  it.
  111. However, you must stop using Chinese Checkers and remove it from  your
  112. computer if you decide not to pay the license fee.

  128.                     DISTRIBUTING CHINESE CHECKERS

  130. Anyone distributing Chinese Checkers for any kind of remuneration must
  131. first contact ImagiSOFT, Inc. at the address below for  authorization.
  132. This authorization is automatically granted to distributors recognized
  133. by the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP) as adhering to its
  134. guidelines for shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin
  135. offering  Chinese Checkers immediately; however, ImagiSOFT, Inc.  must
  136. still  be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date  with
  137. the latest version of Chinese Checkers.

  139. If you are going to distribute Chinese Checkers in a compressed  file,
  140. please  use  the  name CC12.??? (.ZIP, .ARC,  .LZH,  etc).   We  would
