Firstly lets describe the screen layout, the top left side of the screen contains a keypad that is desgin to make it easier to enter non standard characters, I.E. ones not on your keyboard. To use this just click on the required letter and it will appear in the input box. This is located directly under the keypad. The Input box is where you type the definitions you require to look up, type the word you wish to search for and then either press Enter or click on the translate button, the equivalent word will appear in the output box with a list of words that are similar listed in the list output box. The list output box can also be used to move up and down the list by clicking on the bar on the right hand side of the box. Clicking on a definition in the list output box will also give you the definition in the standard output box. Press pageup and pagedown will also move up and down the list. In the bottom left hand corner is a button labeled English/German or whatever language you are using, this is the direction the translation is going I.E English-->German clicking on this once will change the direction to German-->English and you can now type German words in the Input box and get English equivalents.
Under the menu bar at the top of the screen are 5 icons, these are used to add,edit,delete definitions in addition you can save you configuration and change the language you are using if you have more than one.
