  1. Minor Planet Observer

  3. To install this program:
  4.  
  5. 1. Make a directory on the drive you wish to install the program on,
  6.    and change to it.
  7.  
  8.    Eg:   C:
  9.          MD TEMP
  10.          CD TEMP
  11.  
  12. 2. From that drive and directory, run the UNPACK program from the floppy
  13.    disk. For example, if the disk is in drive A type:

  15.    A:UNPACK
  16.  
  17.    This will unpack the files onto your hard disk.
  18.  
  19.    Note that you MUST NOT install the program to the same directory you
  20.    used in step 1.

  22. 3. Ones the files have been unpacked you will still need to install the
  23.    program. Start up Windows, and run INSTALL in the directory you created
  24.    in step 1. (This can be done from File Manager, or from Program Manager,
  25.    see your windows documentation for full details.

  27. 4. Note that installation of this program can take a long time (particularly
  28.    if you have a slow machine), and it can use a LOT of hard disk space if
  29.    you ask it to generate data for many years. Please examine the docs that
  30.    are provided with the program for full details.

  32.   You can also now delete the files in the directory created in step one.
