  1. This disk contains various images of the Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet crash,
  2. stored in JPEG (.JPG) format.

  4. This is a very compact format, which allows many more images to be
  5. fitted onto each floppy disk. You will need an image viewer to see
  6. these, such as the excellent shareware proggram, PAINT SHOP PRO,
  7. which will also allow you to enhance the images, convert them to
  8. wallpaper, rescale them and much more.

  10. WECJ.EXE Has also been provided on this disk, it's a simple Windows
  11. JPEG viewer. To install it, jjust run WECJ from the floppy, and follow
  12. the prompts.

  14. To give it an icon, locate WECJ.EXE with file manager, (the default
  15. directory is \GRAPHICS), and drag it to a program manager group.
  16. Windows 95 users should use the FIND option under the start button
  17. to locate it, then right drag it to the desktop, and select CREATE
  18. SHORTCUT. See you windows diocumentation for full details.

  20. You will also find a selection of text files on this floppy disk,
  21. covering the press releases to go with the images.

  23. Any text viewer will show these, such as the DOS EDIT program,
  24. windows notepad, or windows 95 Wordpad.
