HERITAGE OF ZURK I: "Elvenfire" When the adventurer chronicled in the Zurk saga finds himself in a fairy tale castle, he feels strangely close to the source of the mysterious starchild being he appeared to meet in other quests. END The land is beset by an evil warlock. King Slenderbow arranges a party of fighters to join the adventurer. Unsatisfied with them, the adventurer heads out to the forest. END In what is called the most remarkable scene ever written, he arrives at the eldest of the forests' trees. Perched atop a branch is a lovely elven girl. His heart begins to pound. A delightful chat begins. The girl appears END to like him. When they head for the castle, all hell breaks loose! The orc army is already surrounding the castle, and the wolf lord's dogs carry the girl, Maithe, away. But now it is more than merely saving the king's END daughter. The adventurer begins to realize that a grander story is at hand, a romance is begun! And the stage is set for what he feels certain is the final resolution to all his questions about this lovely girl. FINISH
