  3.     Can you look at a word or phrase, reshuffle the letters and find all of
  4. the smaller words contained within it?    That's the object of MANGLE.
  5.  
  6.     For instance, the word "INCREDIBLY" contains BIND, BINDER, CINDER,
  7. BLED, BLIND, etc.  It does NOT contain BLAND (no A), BLEED (only 1 E) or
  8. BIRDLY (not a word).  Also, words must be 4-12 letters, so BIN is not
  9. legal.    Words requiring punctuation or mixed case, like proper names, are
  10. also not legal.

  12.     MANGLE will begin by telling you how many words can be obtained from
  13. the puzzle word.  Each legal word that you key in will earn you points.  If
  14. MANGLE says the word is not legal, use the backspace key to correct it.
  15. (There's no penalty for guessing.)

  17.     At the end of play, you'll be able to compare your total point score
  18. against other players to see how you stack up.    (For practice round(s)
  19. without showing your score publicly, press '@' anytime after play starts.)
  20. You'll have 8 minutes to key in as many words as you can -- or press Esc to
  21. quit sooner.  For hints while playing -- only in practice rounds -- key in
  22. one or more letters and press '#'.
