WELCOME TO SHAREWARE AND THE WORLD OF THREE-O

The THREE-O game on this Shareware disk is completely functional.
If you enjoy it as much as we hope you will, the author would expect
you to reward him for his effort and creativity by registering.
This means mailing the completed registration form along with a check

When we receive your valuable contribution, we will send you a
"Registered" copy that is basically identical to this one except
for this notice and other references to shareware. You will also
receive a Certificate of Registration and be guaranteed technical
assistance should you ever need it. In addition, if you wish, the
first screen of THREE-O will display your name and/or the name of
your school or organization.
If you prefer, you may send $25.00(*) and upgrade to Super THREE-O
which is described in the DEMO.EXE program. This too, can be person-
alized as described above. Super THREE-O contains three separate
versions of THREE-O: THREEO-X.EXE, THREEO-A.EXE, and THREEO-B.EXE.
THREEO-X is the next logical step after you have mastered the
more simple THREE-0.EXE. It lets you play with or without the eXtended
Scoring Rules (XSR) which validate series such as 10-X-O, 6-X-X,
or 14-O-O. Those combinations follows the basic rules of algebra.
For instance, the 14-O-O sequence produces +84 points (14 x -3 x -2).
THREEO-A and THREEO-B are advanced versions of THREEO-X: Unlike
THREE-O.EXE and THREEO-X.EXE, they accept series that contain both
Black and White numeric chips, providing three different playing
modes. THREEO-A is demonstrated in the DEMO.EXE program on your
diskette. THREEO-B is similar except that it eliminates the display
of scoring rules, resulting in a faster play after those rules have
been memorized.
Wait until you experience the Super-Positive and/or the Super-
Negative modes: they will knock your socks off.
Remember the principle of Shareware: "Try before you buy". So, if
after 30 days you should decide that THREE-O is not your cup of tea,
you may give this diskette to someone else (without any modifications)
or erase it. You may also distribute any number of exact copies as you
wish, as long as you do not charge for the copying.
Meanwhile, enjoy THREE-O and encourage your kids to play it often.
It will help them a lot in manipulating small numbers. Before you know
it, they will discard their ubiquitous pocket calculator and do all
those simple calculations in their head.
