  1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR KENO+PLUS VERSION 2.0

  3. Congratulations!  In your possession is a program designed 
  4. to imitate the popular casino game known as Keno.  This 
  5. recently updated program, Keno+Plus Version 2.0, is written 
  6. to provide the player a way to determine the odds of winning 
  7. and the effects, if any, of a particular strategy for spot 
  8. selection.  Keno+Plus 2.0 provides real simulations of the 
  9. game as played in a casino.  Furthermore, the player can 
  10. readily determine the odds, payoffs, and casino returns of 
  11. all possible outcomes for a given ticket.  Using Keno+Plus 
  12. over a period of time should improve a player's knowledge of 
  13. the game.

  15. Program features include single or multiple game play, 
  16. complete listings of odds and payoffs, random ball 
  17. selection, continuous play until a certain match occurs, 
  18. ball selection summaries (tabular and graphically), listings 
  19. of winning combinations, a Windows Help File, and a 
  20. suggested strategy.  Keno+Plus 1.0 was featured in the 
  21. January 1994 issue of PsL News, and has over 400 downloads 
  22. since the first release in September, 1993.  Keno+Plus 2.0 
  23. enhancements include improved graphics, calculation of 
  24. casino returns, the option to change the payoff schedule, 
  25. and a random ball selector for lotteries.

  27. System requirements include Windows 3.1, VGA graphics card 
  28. (640 x 480 or higher), and a mouse.

  32. If you received your copy of Keno+Plus 2.0 in the mail on a 
  33. diskette, then follow the instructions below:

  35. 1.  Start Microsoft Windows.
  36. 2.  Insert the diskette in drive A (or B).
  37. 3.  From the File Menu of Program Manager, choose Run.
  38. 4.  Type A:SETUP (or B:SETUP) and press ENTER.

  42. If you downloaded your copy of Keno+Plus 2.0 from an online 
  43. service, then follow the instructions below:

  45. NOTE:  After downloading Keno+Plus, you must decompress the 
  46. program (KENOPLUS.ZIP) using a utility program like PKUNZIP 
  47. (a copyrighted program of PKWARE, Inc.) before you can 
  48. install it.  Follow the instructions of your particular 
  49. utility program to decompress the Keno+Plus file.

  53. 1. Start Microsoft Windows.
  54. 2. From the File Menu of Program Manager, choose Run.
  55. 3. Type the drive and directory where the Keno+Plus files
  56.    are located, followed by the word SETUP, then press
  57.    ENTER.  For example, type C:\WAOL\DOWNLOAD\SETUP then
  58.    press ENTER if your downloaded Keno+Plus files are
  59.    located on drive C in the directory C:\WAOL\DOWNLOAD.

  63. 1. Start Microsoft Windows.
  64. 2. Use File Manager to locate the SETUP.EXE file in the
  65.    directory containing the Keno+Plus files, then double-
  66.    click on it to begin the setup program.

  68. NOTE:  To run Keno+Plus 2.0, a file called VBRUN300.DLL must 
  69. be either in the Keno+Plus directory, in the System 
  70. subdirectory of Windows (c:\windows\system), or in a 
  71. directory with a PATH command identifying its location.  If 
  72. this file was not included with your downloaded copy of 
  73. Keno+Plus, then you must download it separately.  Most 
  74. online services provide this file, or you can obtain a copy 
  75. of it upon request from the author.
