  6. Before you can run anything, you need the Visual Basic 3.0 runtime DLL, 
  7. VBRUN300.DLL, which you should place in your Windows\System directory.  If
  8. you need this file, you can download it from many BBSs, and Compuserve's
  9. Microsoft forum.  Note that Galactic Tracker 2.01 and earlier required 
  10. version 2.0 of the DLL (VBRUN200.DLL).  Version 3.0 requires version 3.0
  11. of the DLL.

  13. Version 3.0 Information:

  15. (*) There is no Merge database feature in this version.  Sorry, but I just
  16.     did not have time to finish it.  Instead, get your allies' RST files
  17.     and load them as one of the players in the Game Properties dialog.

  19.     Also, this program took forever to complete, since I don't have a lot
  20.     of time to devote to this.  I didn't get much chance to really test it
  21.     out and debug everything... I expect you'll encounter bugs.  Please
  22.     report them if you do.  Otherwise, please enjoy!

  44. (3)  Upgrading from older versions of Galactic Tracker/Galactic Spy:

  46.      All registered users of Galactic Tracker/Galactic Spy 1.x may use the 
  47.      same registration codes to register Galactic Tracker 3.0.  Version
  48.      3.0 databases are NOT compatible with older 1.x and 2.x databases.
  49.      You will need to start a new database from scratch.
  50.      
  51.      Galactic Tracker 3.0 saves databases differently than in previous
  52.      versions.  It uses a document-style approach used by most Windows
  53.      applications.  Galactic Tracker 3.0 saves game information in files
  54.      with the extension *.GTD.  Galactic Tracker settings are stored in
  55.      the GTD files as well.  For more information, see Galactic Tracker
  56.      Help.
