Title : Deadpool's Real Arena
Filename : ARENA33.WAD
Author : Mike Ryan
Email Address : mryan@zd.com
Misc. Author Info : The author has gotten very little sleep lately...
I'm still working on the basics, so there's no
scripts or anything in any of the WADs I've
done so far. Just lots of big rooms that are
good spots for killing & more killing! :)
You can reach me here (72241,1756) and on NYC
DWANGO (handle=Deadpool)
Description : This is a much cleaner, more interesting version of
the Deadpool's Arena Hexen WAD I uploaded the other
day. It's designed for Deathmatch only, so there're
still no monsters in the thing. Unless someone
uncovers a major bug/HOM/etc., this will be the last
update I make to this WAD.
In this version (I like to call it '3.3' :), however,
I've added (1) all three of the super weapons and (2)
a teleport, which will take you to Map 19 of the game
(because it's my favorite DM level in the registered
version). Other than that, the only things I changed
were some of the sloppy textures, door frames, etc. I
added multiple levels to the ice room, too, just to
liven things up a bit.
If you see anything buggy or just plain wrong,
please let me know.
Additional Credits To : John Delaney, Danny Smith, and the rest of PC Labs
for helping me test it out. Also, many thanks to
Russell A. Day on CIS who offered me some very
useful tips & advice for making the level better.

* Play Information *

Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (but same thing...)
Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes
Difficulty Settings : No
New Sounds : No
New Graphics : No
New Music : No
Demos Replaced : None
* Construction *
Base : Semi-new level from scratch (based on my ARENA2.WAD).
Editor Used : HETH 1.04/1.05 & ZenNode 0.95
Time to Build : Almost 40 hours worth of nipping, tucking, and
testing, after an intial design time of about
8 hours.
Known Bugs : One weirdness during IPX deathmatch: My guy
somehow sank into the floor near the
Wraithverge segments & could no longer move.
When one of the players came in the room, he
said I looked tiny on the screen. I have no
idea what happened there... (if anyone thinks
this sound familiar, please let me know what's
going on! <g>) Other than that, it seems stable.
Please e-Mail me if you find anything wrong.
