INSTALL TROUBLESHOOTING
=======================
"Msvbvm50.dll Upgrade Required" Dialog Box
------------------------------------------
You may see this dialog box if you are using the basic version of Windows 95,
and had not yet upgraded to never version of msvbvm50.dll (You must have at least
v. 5.00.4319
If the correct version of Msvbvm50.dll isn't included in the standard VB5 runtime
ackage, you can download it separately at my homepage.
I decided not to include it in the ZIP package to reduce its size and since most
of you probably already have it.
"Comctl32.dll Upgrade Required" Dialog Box
------------------------------------------
You may see this dialog box if you are using the basic version of Windows 95,
and had not yet upgraded to never version of Comctl32.dll.
Logo Organizer 98 needs to have version of Comctl32.dll to be at least 4.70.xxxx in
order to run properly. Windows OSR2, MS Internet Explorer 3.0 and newer, and
some other Microsoft's programs are shipping with newer version of this file,
and chances are you already have the required version installed on your system.
If you don't, you will have to make an upgrade before installing Logo Organizer 98
on your computer.
Installing never version of Comctl32.dll could easily be done automatically,
inside install program, but unfortunately this would be in violation of
Microsoft's Distribution License for this library. Because of that, upgrading
and installing Logo Organizer 98 is a two-step process for all users with old version
of Comctl32.dll installed. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but you can blame
it on Microsoft.
Enclosed in Logo Organizer 98 distribution package is a COM32UPG.EXE file, otherwise
freely available from Microsoft's FTP site. This is an original Microsoft's
upgrade file that will replace your Comctl32.dll library with the required
version (if your version is already newer, running this patch will have no
effect on your system).
If Logo Organizer 98's setup program has informed you that Comctl32.dll upgrade is
required, run the COM32UPG.EXE file to apply the upgrade, and restart your
computer for changes to take effect. Until the appropriate Comctl32.dll file
is in place, you will not be able to install Logo Organizer 98. After system has
successfuly rebooted, you can start the Logo Organizer 98 installation again to
install the program.
