  3. Disk Piecharter for Windows 95 and NT version 2.1a,

  5. A utility that shows disk usage as interactive piecharts.

  7. Shareware, freely distributable by anyone, provided all files are copied.
  8. There is a free evaluation period of 30 days, to give users time to register 
  9. via Compuserve (SWREG #9118) or PsL (800-2424-PsL, id #11746) or SecureOrders

  11. details are in the HELP file (diskpie.hlp).
  12. After the 30 days, if the user has not registered, the program disables 
  13. itself.

  28. 1. Windows NT compatibility
  29.    Disk Piecharter now works with Windows NT 3.51 or higher.
  30. 2. Large Harddisk support
  31.    In NT, there are practically no limits to the size of disks
  32.    Disk Piecharter can handle.
  33.    In Windows 95, there is a limit of 2 GB for disk partitions, implied
  34.    by Windows itself.
  35.    With network drives > 2GB, Disk Piecharter will 'do the best it can'.
  36.    Though Windows 95 does not report the disksize (and free space) properly,
  37.    Disk Piecharter will, by summing up all filesizes, attempt to give a
  38.    reasonable result. It will issue a warning message saying that the results
  39.    are somehow estimated.
  40. 3. Clipboard copy
  41.    Upon requests from several users this feature was added. The copy
  42.    is of the Enhanced Metafile type, and can be imported in most word 
  43.    processors, drawing software etc.
  44. 4. By adding a drive letter in the commandline (of a shortcut) you can 
  45.    have Disk Piecharter startup with a preselected drive.
  46. 5. Shell integration: you can add Disk Piecharter to the context-menu of
  47.    disk drives and/ or directories. To get this working, do the following:
  48.    From Windows Explorer, select View/Options... and select the File Types 
  49.    tab. Then browse to the 'drive' icon. Click 'Edit'. In the 'Actions'
  50.    field below, click 'New'. In the 'Action' field, enter the name you want 
  51.    to call it, e.g. 'Piechart...'. In the Application field, enter the path
  52.    and filename to dskpie95.exe. That's it!
