  10. The Information Infrastructure Project at Harvard's Kennedy
  11. School of Government announces the publication of Version 4.0 of the
  12. Information Infrastructure Sourcebook (August 1994), edited by
  13. Brian Kahin.  The Sourcebook now consists of over 1700 pages in
  14. three volumes, containing approximately 3300 pages of original material.

  16. The Sourcebook is designed to provide planners and policymakers a
  17. single reference on efforts to define and develop policy for a
  18. national information infrastructure.  It includes historical
  19. policy documents, private sector vision statements and position
  20. papers, program and project descriptions (all sectors), landmark
  21. reports, and pending legislation.
  22.  
  23. In assembling the Sourcebook, we have looked for documents that
  24. have had or are likely to have an impact on policy development,
  25. that are formal in nature, and that deal with information
  26. infrastructure at a general rather than topic level.  In general,
  27. material is reproduced as is, although we have excerpted in the
  28. interests of space, relevance, balance and consistency.  Because
  29. of changes in technology, markets, programs and policies, the
  30. Sourcebook will of necessity require supplementation or revision
  31. on a regular basis.  So we will look for new or updated
  32. contributions whenever they become available.  Please direct any

  43. Priority Mail delivery within the U.S.; foreign delivery extra).
  44. In order to provide holders of previous versions of the
  45. Sourcebook an affordable means of staying up to date on materials
  46. related to developing policy for a national information
  47. infrastructure, supplement are available.  The Supplement is
  48. available for $40 for holders of Version 3.0.  Supplements are
  49. also available for holders of Version 2.0 to update to Version
  50. 4.0 for $60.
