  2. Zone 1 includes the United States and Canada, plus many nations in the
  3. Carribbean area south /southeast of Florida. Divisions within Zone 1
  4. are known as 'area codes'. The area code tables for Canada are on file
  5. in the Telecom Archives in the 'npa-exchange.lists-canada' sub-directory. 
  6. Area codes for the USA can be found in the archives file areacode.guide. 
  7. The individual prefixes within the USA area codes are not listed in
  8. the archives because of the sheer volume of data involved, but may be
  9. obtained from a long distance operator or various other texts from
  10. Bellcore.  The archives file npa.809 discusses the Carribbean area in
  11. detail.
