DECAY
SCREEN SAVER FOR MS WINDOWS 3.1
The original idea is from the Sun workstations.
I don't know who implemented it first.
If the originator reads this drop me an email
and I will mention you at the credit section.
When it is time to save the screen it looks like if there is
a heat source behind the screen that makes it decay/melt.
After a while the hole screen is melted.
Requirements: BWCC.DLL
(mail me if you don't how to get it, or wait for the next release)
How to install:
Copy DECAY.SCR to your windows directory ( C:\windows )
Start the Control Panel from within the Program manager and
select 'Desktop'. In the section controlling the screen saver
you can select Decay with the 'Drop Down Box'.
Decay has yet no options, although there is a dialog under
the 'Setup Button' telling that there are no options.
Then test if it all works and click on Ok.
Now Decay is active.
Known problems:
- if you have a windows accellerator video card it will all
go very fast.
Things for the next release:
- make an MS C version so the filesize will drop from about
68Kb (thanks to OOP) to around 20Kb.
- another advantage of MS C is that you don't need BWCC.DLL
- add an option to slow down Decay for a windows accellerator
card
Decay is Public Domain so feel free to make copies.
Drop me a mail if you think there is more to be enhanced
to this screen saver.
