LINUX Information
As we wrote in PC Computing's April 1995 FreeStuff column,
Linux is only for the truly brave. Linux is a Unix clone
for 386- and 486-based PCs written by Linus Torvalds with
the assistance of many programmers on the Internet. In
fact, we found that a complete Linux package comes to
11MB zipped--far too large for downloading. However,
if you can access FTP servers on the Internet, you can
find Linux at any of the following locations:
http://src.doc.ic.ac.uk/packages/linux
ftp://nic.funet.fi /pub/OS/Linux
ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux
ftp://ftp.dfv.rwth-aachen.de/pub/linux
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/directory /pub/Linux
