- Thank you for your posting on the Phoenix Journals and Hatonn.
-
- It is not so much that I don't believe that "channeling" is real, but more,
- what scientific methods can be applied to study the phenomena? I was talking
- with a person the other day who told me that there have been some solid-based
- scientific research done regarding psychic phenomenon.
-
- Does anyone have any information relating scientific research being conducted
- to validate psychic phenomenon?

- STRANGE LIGHT IN SKY DRAWS ATTENTION
-
- by David Baker, THE GULF BREEZE SENTINEL, March 3, 1991.
-
- On February 23, 1991 two Pensacola men were sighing on the three mile bridge.
- AT approximately 7:50 p.m. the fishermen's attention was drawn to a bright red
- light which suddenly appeared over Gulf Breeze.
- The two men said the light would dim then come back bright red, stay that way
- for a while and then dim again, all the while moving slowly in their direction.
- They detected no sound from the object.
- Before the object disappeared it blinked to green momentarily, changed to a
- brilliant white and slowly faded away. The sighting lasted about four minutes
- and there were nine additional witnesses.

- Mike; from I have heard, there has been a lot of articules been
- written on this object because it is different from anything that
- they have detected. There are other Ufologist that are also
- interested and are keeping tabs on SS433. I wish I could tell you
- more but can't at this time. But from passed history, we are
- sometimes not told the whole truth about certain things. And this we
- are told for are on good. I think that SS433 maybe one of those half
- truths. Maybe some of the readers of this echo might have some
- information that they would like to share on this subject.
- If you get the feeling that I'm side stepping this, I am because
- I don't want anybody to get into trouble. 73's ---Jim---

- Some kids let loose balloons with a light attached across a softball
- field. It was a very low-level, short-lived event, complete with a
- police apprehension of the kids.
- While I agree that at least some of the red light sightings are
- probably hoaxes, I think we'd really need to examine all the red light

- I read your continuing debate with boredom at many points. The reason is not
- what you have stated or in some cases what others propose, but because of the
- nit picking out of your statements, mis-quoting, and goal-less attacks on

- One of my associates reports that he was out for an evening walk with his
- dog here in the Minneapolis area last week when a high altitude aircraft
- shined an incredibly bright light directly down on him. The aircraft was
- almost directly overhead when the beam passed over him. This rules out
- landing lights as they point forward and down, and not just down. He said
- the beam passed over him very quickly, probably at the ground speed
- equivalent of the aircraft's velocity.
-
- By high altitude he probably meant no longer able to distinquish aircraft
- shape (at night). And he described the brightness as 'daylight.' The
- aircraft had normal lights otherwise.

- PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A brilliant fireball that looked like "a boomerang on
- its side" with a greenish-red tail streaked on Wednesday across the sky over
- much of the Northeast, authorities said.
- The fireball flashed over southeastern Pennsylvania shortly after 3 a.m.,
- according to Jim Krimm, an air traffic controller at Philadelphia
- InternationalAirport. A pilot radioed that it "appeared to be the mother of
- all meteors," Krimm said. "He said he had never seen anything in all his time
- flying." Observers in Atlantic Highlands, N.J., and Ithaca, N.Y., and from
- southwestern New Hampshire to Bangor, Maine, reported seeing the fireball.
- Federal Aviation Administration representatives said pilots reported the
- fireball to several airports in northern New Jersey. "This was big," said New
- York state trooper Richard Haas. "I've seen shooting stars before and this
- was nothing like that." FAA spokeswoman Diane Spitalieri said pilots who
- called airports in Teeterboro, N.J., and Garden City, N.J., said the bright
- light was moving back and forth over New York City. Mark Barton, a police
- officer near Boston, said it looked like a "a boomerang on its side. A
- cluster of lights with a big red firetail behind it." Stan Gordon of the
- Pittsburgh-based Pennsylvania Association for the Study of the Unexplained, a
- clearinghouse for UFO reports, said he received reports describing a fireball
- that lasted five to six seconds, with a green tail mixed with some red color.

- PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- People from Maine to West Virginia reported a
- brilliantfireball in the sky early Wednesday, offering descriptions ranging
- from "the size of a Volkswagen" to the shape of a "boomerang on its side."
- "This was big," said New York state trooper Richard Haas. "I've seen shooting
- stars before and this was nothing like that." People in West Virginia,
- Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New
- Hampshire and Maine reported seeing the bright light, moving from west to
- east, about 3 a.m. Philadelphia air traffic controller Jim Krimm said he took
- three phone callsreporting it. One pilot radioed that it "appeared to be the
- mother of all meteors," Krimm said. Many witnesses said the object appeared
- to have a green-and-red tail and litup the sky for about five seconds before
- it disappeared over the horizon. Haas said he was driving in Danby, N.Y.,
- when he and his partner saw the bright light in the western sky. "It appeared
- to be real low," Haas said. "We opened our windows to listen for a crash, but
- we didn't hear anything." In Atlantic Highlands, N.J., Danny Fletcher, 23,
- said he had just returned home from work when he saw the speeding light close
- to the horizon. "At first, I thought it was a Scud missile," he said. Mark
- Barton, a police officer near Boston, said it looked like "a boomerang on its
- side. A cluster of lights with a big red fire tail behind it." "It was green
- in color. I'd say it was about the size of a Volkswagen," saidpolice Sgt.
- John Huyett in Martinsburg, W.Va. What people saw most likely was a
- low-flying meteor that burned brightly from the friction of entering the
- Earth's atmosphere, said Walter Webb, manager of planetarium observations at
- the Charles Hayden Planetarium in Boston. "It's not unusual for fireballs to
- be seen over an area of several hundred miles," Webb said. Derrick Pitts, an
- astronomer at the Fells Planetarium of the Franklin Institute in
- Philadelphia, said the object likely eventually broke up. James Cornell of
- the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, Mass., said the
- object either disintegrated in the atmosphere or fell into the Atlantic
- Ocean, based on its west-to-east trajectory. "About 95 percent of these
- meteors disintegrate in the atmosphere, usually about 30 or 40 miles above
- the earth's surface," Cornell said. Cornell and Webb said they had been in
- contact with federal officials, who were not tracking any satellites that
- might have fallen to Earth at the time.

- Thanks for the return on the UFO/Fireball. Other oddball things have been

- Two police officers and several of my friends saw the "fireball". I live
- Burlington, MA, where a lot of the action took place. Two of my employees told
- me they saw it hover, under apparent control, and display some lighting
- effects(blue beams). Another weird coincidence: I have a friend in the movie
- biz who sculpted Alien's for Communion. I have one sitting on my desk as a
- big paperweight. Several people I frequently do business with can't tolerate
- the sculpture in the room with them and I'm always forced to remove it. They
- have no interest in paranormal events (almost overly derisive of the subject)
- - theyshare that aversion. They are from this area.
-
- The day before the "fireball" appeared here, one of these skeptics stormed
- intomy office to tell me his 9 year old daughter woke him, complaining of
- little alien creatures in her bedroom. He scoffed, sent her to bed, behaving
- like a good skeptic (he didn't even give her a plausible "bad dream"
- explanation).
-
- Another employee told me today that it woke her right out of bed. I asked her

- with call-in's all day. Keep in mind that this is not Mayberry RFD, but a
