Wallach, Dan S. (1993) "FAQ: Typing Injuries (1/5): Changes since last
month" Usenet news.answers. Available via anonymous ftp from
rtfm.mit.edu in pub/usenet/news.answers/typing-injury-faq/changes. 2 pages.
This file details changes to the soda.berkeley.edu archive and summarizes
what's new in the various FAQ (frequently asked questions) documents.
This will be posted monthly, along with the full FAQ to the various net
groups. The various mailing lists will either receive the full FAQ
every month, or every third month, but will always get this file, once
per month. Phew!
============================================================================
Changes to the Typing Injuries FAQ and soda.berkeley.edu archive, this month
============================================================================
Okay. I've made a serious effort to crunch through all my keyboarding
"in-box". If there's some change you see missing (cringe), send me mail.
Rearranged some files into a "software" subdirectory to remove some
clutter from the soda archive.
(finally) added B.C. Moszkowski's "getup.com" DOS TSR for rest reminding
to the soda archive -- software/getup.com.
Added info on the Handzene gloves to the general FAQ as well as concatenating
lots of info into the file "handzene.info".
Added mention of IBM VoiceType 2 (really a Dragon product with a 7k word vocab)
and added "voicetype2-info" to the soda archive.
Some new info on the Maltron. Nothing special.
Added new file "workstation-setup" -- how to arrange your desk, chair,
and other such things -- written by Alan K. Jackson <ajackson@SHELL.COM>
and posted to Sorehand last October.
Added mention of CTDNews to the General FAQ, and added "ctdnews-info",
a list of each issues contents, to the soda archive.
Added Jeff DelPapa's critique of voice recognition systems to the soda
archive (voice-recognition-critique).
Added Reuters release about the UK judge who claimed RSI doesn't exist
(no-rsi-in-uk).
Added better FTP directions to the General FAQ.
Added Fountain Hills keyboard.
Updated price of Comfort keyboard (now: $795), Kurzweil (now: $3000), and
a few other minor tweaks to the Keyboards FAQ, including an attempt to
regularize the formatting of each entry. This is an ongoing annoyance.
Added rsi-article (written by Richard Donkin for The Independent (London)
to the soda archive.
Added thoracic.info (some good details about thoracic outlet syndrome)
to the soda archive.
Added mention of "Enrichments" catalog to general FAQ.
============================================================================
If you'd like to receive a copy of the FAQ and you didn't find it in the
same place you found this document, you can either send e-mail to
dwallach@cs.princeton.edu, or you can anonymous ftp to soda.berkeley.edu
(128.32.149.19) and look in the pub/typing-injury directory.
Enjoy!
