  2. This is a posting of the source and documentation for Extended
  3. Tcl 6.1a, a companion package to Tcl 6.1, an embeddable tool
  4. command language.

  6. Extended Tcl defines a set of extensions and on-line help for
  7. Tcl, the Tool Command Language invented by Dr. John Ousterhout 
  8. of the University of California at Berkeley.
  9.  
  10. To build Extended Tcl, unshar this release so that the
  11. "extended" directory is in the same directory as the "tcl6.1"
  12. directory created by unsharing Berkeley Tcl 6.1, edit 
  13. "extended/Makefile", then do a "make".
  14.

  16. this release.
