  1. These programs compress and uncompress 8 bit image files using delta 
  2. modulation.  The compressed file contains the difference of each byte 
  3. from the previous one, coded in a single nibble.  I tried the delta 
  4. modulation programs, compress and pack on a 256 * 256 * 8 gray scale 
  5. picture of me.  The results were the following:
