  1. VIRTUS PLAYER FOR WINDOWS 1.0

  4. Welcome to Virtus Player! We hope you'll enjoy 
  5. using this handy utility program. With Virtus 
  6. Player, anyone can open and explore (but not 
  7. modify) any file created with Virtus software 
  8. on Windows and Macintosh/Power Macintosh 
  9. platforms.
  10.  
  11. To install Virtus Player for Windows:
  12.  
  13. 1) Decompress the file VPLAYER.EXE into an empty 
  14. directory on your hard drive. Copy all the files 
  15. from this directory onto a 1.44 MB DOS-formatted 
  16. floppy diskette.
  17.  
  18. 2) Label the floppy disk "Virtus Player Program 
  19. Disk" and lock it.
  20.  
  21. 3) Insert the Virtus Player Program Disk in the 
  22. disk drive.
  23.  
  24. 4) Under the File menu in Program Manager, select 
  25. Run. When the dialog box appears, type A:SETUP or 
  26. B:SETUP and select OK.

  28. 5) Follow the instructions on the installation 
  29. dialog boxes.

  31. 6) Please be sure to read the file PLAYREAD.WRI 
  32. located in the VPLAYER directory on your hard 
  33. drive.

  36. VIRTUS PLAYER LICENSE AND LEGAL INFORMATION

  38. The Virtus Player Software is owned by Virtus 
  39. Corporation. Virtus grants to the user a 
  40. nonexclusive license to use this Virtus Player 
  41. Software freely in unmodified form and solely 
  42. for the distribution of the user's own models. 
  43. The user shall not commercially distribute, sublicense, 
  44. resell, or otherwise transfer for any consideration, 
  45. or reproduce for any such purposes, the Virtus Player 
  46. Software or any modification or derivation thereof, 
  47. either alone or in conjunction with any other product 
  48. or program. Further, the user shall not modify the 
  49. Virtus Player Software or any of its associated help 
  50. files or Read Me files. The Virtus Player shall be 
  51. distributed only in its original installer form.

  53. VIRTUS PLAYER IS PROVIDED TO THE USER ''AS IS.'' 
  54. VIRTUS CORPORATION MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EITHER 
  55. EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE VIRTUS 
  56. PLAYER SOFTWARE AND/OR ASSOCIATED MATERIALS PROVIDED 
  57. TO THE USER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY 
  58. OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE 
  59. AND AGAINST INFRINGEMENT.

  65. INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS, OR FOR ANY SPECIAL,

  74. the limitations of warranty and other notices appearing 
  75. above and below.  Associated software and content (such 
  76. as independently designed Virtus models or textures) 
  77. used with Virtus Player, but not developed by Virtus 
  78. Corporation, may be subject to other copyright and 
  79. licensing restrictions as specified by their developers.

  83. Virtus Corporation provides the Virtus Player Software 
  84. on an "AS IS" basis and provides no warranties 
  85. whatsoever. ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION
