- Nevsky Prospekt, 41
- 1800. Architect F.Demertsev. Rebuilt in
- 1846-48, architect A.Stakenschneider, sculptor
- D.Fensen
-
- The palace was put up on the order of Prince
- K.Beloselsky-Belozersky. It was the first sample
- of neo-Baroque architecture in Petersburg, and
- one of the first ones in Russia. Its facades are
- designed in the 18th-century Russian Baroque
- style. Stakenschneider took the |Stroganov Palace|Custom1|O:20|

- and located on a similar site-|Nevsky Prospekt|Custom1|O:267|
- and the Moika corner. Stakenschneider's palace,
- that imitates Rastrelli's general outlines,

- the prospekt beyond the Fontanka. The palace
- was considered one of the finest private houses
- in the capital, both by its lavish outward
- decoration and by the grandeur of its interiors.
