  3. This is a memorial to Field Marshal P.Rumiantsev.
  4. It had been originally put up in the |Field of Mars|Custom1|O:235|. 
  5. According to C.Rossi's project it was later 
  6. transferred to a site in the vicinity of the First 
  7. Cadet Corps where Rumiantsev had received his 
  8. military training. In the 1860s a garden was laid 
  9. out around it, with two fountains and a cast-iron 
  10. railing. The obelisk made of gray Serdobol 
  11. granite is a typical sample of this type of 
  12. memorials.
