  4. INTRODUCTION
  5. Vinny RPN Calculator is a Reverse Polish Notation utility program for
  6. science and engineering students. It temporarily converts the computers
  7. numeric key pad into a RPN calculator by allowing direct use of key pad
  8. digits, [+,-,*,/] keys, [Enter] and [Up/Down Arrow & Page] keys.
  9. Trigonometric and logarithmic functions are provided by mouse clicking
  10. on dialog box buttons. Number inputs can be decimal or exponential with
  11. dot or comma (European) digit separator.  Linkage to other applications
  12. is available through use of the Windows clipboard. Optional features
  13. include window stay on top and window shrinkage. This zip package
  14. contains the complete 32-bit utility program for Windows 95.

  17. Use numeric key pad digits for data entry.
  18. Use numeric key pad keys for simple math functions [+,-,*,/].
  19. Use [Enter],[Up/Down Arrow] keys for register control.
  20. Use [PgDown/Up] keys to change sign of (X and exponent of X).
  21. Use trigonometric and logarithmic functions by clicking
  22. dialog box buttons.

  24. dialog box buttons.

  44. FILES IN THE ZIP PACKAGE
  45. This zip package contains the following files:
  46. read.txt : This file.
  47. vincalc.exe: The executable utility for Vinny RPN Calculator.
  48. vincalc.hlp: The Vinny RPN help file with sample problem.
  49. install.exe: Copies above files to a user chosen directory
  50. and installs a start menu item for the RPN Calculator.

  52. UPGRADE HISTORY
  53. Version 1.01 adds(RCL and STO button)and(Copy and Paste button).
  54. Version 1.03 adds(+/- keyboard key) to change sign of X.
  55. Version 1.04 adds(E+/- button & key)to change sign of exponent of X.
  56. Version 1.06 adds window stay on top and window shrinkage.
  57. Version 1.07 allows multiple instances of the RPN calculator.
  58. Version 1.10 fixes shrink and multi instance problems.
  59. Version 1.14 allows European (comma) number format as input.
  60. Version 1.15 change of addresses.

  62. REGISTRATION
  63. The registration dialog will pop up in place of this utility when
  64. the free trial period has ended or if you move the utility to
  65. a new directory. If this happens try to close and then open the
  66. utility and the registration dialog may clear if any free trial
  67. time remains.  If you can not clear the registration dialog you
  68. have two choices. Email the serial number at the top of the 
  69. registration dialog to Email address below and request a two week
  70. extension to the free trial period or mail in the serial number
  71. with $5.00(US) to the mail address below and request a permanent
  72. registration code.  If you include a stamped self addressed
  73. envelope you will receive an activation code by mail or by Email
  74. if you include your Email address. Be sure to include your serial
  75. number with your request. Free upgrades will be available to
  76. registered users.
