INTRODUCTION
~~~~~~~~~~~~
TRIbase is a Technical Readout Informational dataBase. TRIbase
can help eliminate diagnosis procedures and troubleshooting task
by looking up the problem within the database catergories.
TRIbase will also provide standard CPU/CMOS readouts as well.
OPERATION of TRIbase
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TRIbase is a DOS based program. To run TRIbase, simply type 'TBASE' or
TBASE.BAT to operate it. If TRIbase is operated for the first time,
TRIbase will create it's own .INI file for later configurations. You
can modify it's configuration through a simple text editor. Pick the
subjects or catergories with your mouse, keyboard arrow keys, or the
hotkeys that are in RED. After selecting the subject, hit ENTER to choose
that subject. TRIbase will then display the information reguarding to the
subject. Operation is simple! A sound card is NOT required, but if so,
TRIbase will play a musical intro while the title screen appears.
CONFIGURATION

creates a configuration file for you. You can however modify it's operation!

TBASE.INI confgiuration file. For colors, a color chart below shows all
the colors that can be used for color configuration in TRIbase. TRIbase

FUTURE STUFF!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since TRIbase is in its first stage, the database is only but so big.
You can simply copy all the files over to a drive or such. TRIbase
hopes to expand also! The famous unreleased, Curtis Project will also
be incorporated within TRIbase. Curtis Project is the utility by
enCOM to detect HDD's and give additional data from them, such
as manufactor, serial Id code, and etc. Hopefully also in the future
TRIbase will also have a couple of simple diagnostic utlities included
in it. This will be a parallel port tester, commnuications port tester,
HDD bench testing and utilis, and more!
Plus, TRIbase will be growing in troubleshooting too! TRIbase's
database will be growing as more experiences and journals are kept.
This program was aimed for new sprouting technicians and an additional
suppliment for technicians that forgot certain things. We hope you
enjoy!
TROUBLESHOOTING TRIbase
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You shouldn't really experience trouble with TRIbase. If there are any
problems, here's a couple solutions:
* TRIbase is not operating after title screen or during.
If you have a sound card and having trouble getting into TRIbase,
try running T2.EXE. This turns off the sound.
* TRIbase locks up after exiting.
FILES in CONFIG.SYS is not confgiured for 55.
* Mouse does not work in TRIbase.
You must first load the mouse driver prior to running TRIbase.
Usually typing in 'MOUSE' to get the mouse to operate works if
you have any mouse drivers installed.
* TRIbase's intro music sounds like static in Windows 3.x-95.
Windows 95 doesn't support the musical code it has. Try running
T2.EXE to resolve this.
* TRIbase will not run properly in Windows.
Try running T2.EXE to correct this. If this doesn't help, create a
shortcut or set properties to MS-DOS mode.
* Cannot see TRIbase well in Windows.
Try maximizing the TRIbase DOS window.
