***********************3DOSUTIL V 1.1.0**********************
This is a collection of three very useful DOS Utilities that I wrote to simplify some very basic tasks in the Windows 95 API. A detailed description of each of the utilities will follow which will detail their usage, and in the case of Restart.com, will detail the configuration necessary for it's use. This set of utilities is freeware for home use but may not be re-distributed without the consent of the author, me. Furthermore, if you wish to use this set of utilities in a business or institutional setting a fee of $3.00 US cash must be sent to:

Also, if you are a home user and you wish to be rid of the comment which displays my name, the program name and version number please send $1.00 US to the above address, along with your e-mail address, and I will send you the other version of these programs which is void of this annoying comment section. What follows is a description of each of the utilities with the suggested configuration for their usage.
DOCUCLEAR V. 1.0.0 - This utility will clear all entries found in the Document cascading menu found in the first tier of the Start Menu. It is suggested that the program be placed in either the user's root directory (C:\>) or in C:\Windows and, if desired, a shortcut can be placed on the desktop or you can make a path to the given program's directory using the Run Command from the Start Menu. When executed the program will invoke a MS-DOS Prompt and all entries on the aforementioned menu will be seen to be deleted. When the program completes it's task the title bar, in the MS-DOS Prompt window, will display the word "finished". It will then be all right to close the window. This utility is useful, especially in the workplace, to keep the prying eyes of your boss or co-workers away for the work that you may or may not be doing on a given day. Security is important and there are extremely nosy individuals out there who want to know your business. I think nosiness is a mathematical function of ones IQ.
A_ZAPPER V. 1.0.0 - This utility will clear the entire contents of a floppy disk. When I say ENTIRE I mean ENTIRE. So it follows that the user should use some degree of care when using this program. The contents of the said floppy will not be recoverable; period. It is very useful if you have a series of disks which you simply wish to clear. The process will not allow the user to place a volume label on the disk though. Again it is suggested that the program be placed in either the user's root directory (C:\>) or in (C:\Windows) directory and, if desired, a shortcut can be placed on the desktop or you can make a path to the given program's directory using the Run Command from the Start Menu. When executed the program will invoke a MS-DOS Prompt and all entries on the floppy disk will be seen to be deleted. When the program completes it task the title bar, in the MS-DOS Prompt window, will display the word "finished". It will then be all right to close the window. Note: that the program assumes that your floppy drive is (A:\>).
RESTART V. 1.0.0 - This little utility will allow you to reboot your system not only faster than the option that resides off of your Start Menu in Win95 but without having to click three different things in order to do so. I install a lot of software, over the course of a week, thus, this utility has come in very handy due to the fact that I always reboot my system after any software installation or uninstallation (advisable). You will have to configure this utility before you can use it, to generate a PIF file (Program InFormation file) and, what follows is the process by which you can do this:
Step 1: Right-click on the icon, Restart.com, and choose properties from the context menu that will appear.
Step 2: Click on the Program tab, of the properties dialog box, if not all ready selected, and select the option "close on exit".
Step 3: Next, select the Advanced button, at the bottom of the same page, and choose "MS-DOS mode" and deselect "Warn before entering MS-DOS mode".
Step 4: Click on OK and OK again.
After you have completed the above four steps you should create a shortcut to this executable on your desktop or you can make a path to the given program's directory using the Run Command from the Start Menu. If you wish you can change the icon for this program by right clicking the newly created shortcut and choosing the properties option/program tab/change icon button.
Step 5: Optional - I used the little red sports car icon, in shell32.dll, and simply named the program Doug's Turbo Restart.
