  5. 1. Installation Instructions
  6. ----------------------------
  7. SuperDIR 98 does not have an automated installation procedure. We could
  8. have included a fancy installation utility (e.g. InstallShield) but this
  9. would have added several hundered kilobytes to the archive size.
  10. Nevertheless, installing SuperDIR is a very simple process.
  11.  
  12. To install SuperDIR 98 simply:
  13. (A) Copy all the files in the distrbution archive to a suitable directory
  14.       (e.g. MD C:\SDIR and then COPY *.* C:\SDIR)
  15. (B) Ensure that the directory you chose is contained in the directory path
  16.       (e.g. PATH=C:\;C:\DOS;...;C:\SDIR in your AUTOEXEC.BAT)
  17. (C) You may like to rename SDIR32.EXE (and SDIR16.EXE) to something shorter
  18.       (e.g. REN SDIR32.EXE D.EXE)

  21. 2. De-installation Instructions
  22. -------------------------------
  23. Type SCONFIG /UNINSTALL to remove all entries added to the system
  24. registry. Then simply delete all the files you previously copied.
