Getting Win32s 8th May 1996 (C) Yves Roumazeilles
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
For the 32-bit versions of my shareware packages, when running on
Windows 3.1 or Windows for WorkGroups v3.11, you should use the WIN32S
OS extension from Microsoft. It is installed on your desktop computer in
order to allow it to use 32-bit applications.
If you already run 32-bit applications, you will have nothing to do, but
if this is the first time you try a 32-bit application on your PC, you
will need to get this package.
It can be found on many sites including the following ones:
Win32s (ver. 1.30.166.0) ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/softlib/mslfiles/pw1118.exe
Win32s (ver. 1.30.166.0) ftp://ftp.mainstreet.net/pub/starnet/pw1118.exe
Compuserve: GO MSL (Microsoft Software Library) file PW1118.EXE
An archie search on the name pw1118 should also return you a list of
files near to you.
Beware that the needed revision is v1.30 (or higher). A number of older
files can be found under the same name (it's pity). They would not work
with recent programs as ours.
If you want, you also can jump into my homepage to get the latest
information about getting Win32s. Look at
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Yves_Roumazeilles/ and follow
the link to "my shareware packages".
