About
What is Aetiket Label Printer ?
Aetiket Label Printer is the new name of the software formerly called simply "Label Printer" by Eric Fandrich
Most software packages provide templates for printing labels using various merge and printing features. However, as virtually all printers have moved away from the older tractor feed (dot matrix) printing method to sheet feed (Ink Jet or Laser) printing, the ability to print just one or a small batch of labels has become more difficult.
Aetiket Label Printer allows users to specify precisely which and how many labels of a label sheet to print, thereby permitting the more efficient use of label printing sheets.
Aetiket Label Printer can be used as a stand-alone solution, or linked with other FileMaker Pro databases to provide enhanced label printing output.
Features
* Single or multiple labels can be printed.
* Print layouts can be optimized for printing on all printers.+
* Default text can be customized.+
* A4 (metric) sizes supported.*
* Media labels such as floppy labels, cassettes, and video tape labels supported.*
* HTML Support documentation
* Labels can be printed at any location on a label sheet.
* Recalls remaining label positions for quick printing.
* Labels can be imported from a text file or another FileMaker Pro file.
* Import a custom logo or graphic to enhance your printed output.
* Default label text can be stored to quickly print frequently used labels.
* Label Printer can be easily integrated with other FileMaker Pro solutions.

New in Version 2.5
New Name
In this update I changed the name of the software from "Label Printer" to "Aetiket Label Printer" to further distinguish the software and make it more accessible to my European customers. Consequently, many of the filenames have been changed as well:
Labelpri.fp3 became Aetiket.fp3
Labeldef.fp3 became Define.fp3
Labelhlp.fp3 became Contacts.fp3
Labelreg.fp3 became Feedback.fp3
New Files
New files were added, including an Excel help file, and html documentation and information.
Labels Added
I also added many new Label types including: various A4 (Metric), 5164 (Shipping), 5198 (Audio Cassette), 5199 (Videotape), 6490 (Floppy), 5371 (Business Cards), and 5390 (Name Tags).
Default Font & Layout formatting
Registered users can now take advantage of the following two features:
The default font and paragraph formatting of a label can now be changed.
The print layout can now be optimized (changing the lead, spacing, etc.) to improve the printing on printers.
Better Printer Support
The print layouts were completely revised and Aetiket Label Printer now supports two printers directly. Registered users can also access the print layouts to optimize the printing with all printers. The ink jet labels were optimized for Hewlett-Packard Ink jet printers and the laser labels were optimized for Apple Postscript Laser Printers.
Label Size Supported
Aetiket Label Printer works with many standard Avery¿ label sizes.
The Shareware version comes with the following standard sizes enabled:
Inkjet 8160 and J7160 (A4)
Laser 5160 and L7160 (A4)
Registering Aetiket Label Printer unlocks access to the following other sizes:
Dorab 0001 (3 x 8, 24 label) a A4 sheet from Sweden
Century 0001 (2 x 5, 10 label) and Century 0002 (3 x 6, 18 label) sheets from Century Marketing.
If you use a label size not listed above, send me a blank copy of your label sheet along with your registration and I will incorporate it into an upgrade. I also encourage my European and Japanese customers to send me copies of their favourite labels: I will gladly support A4 paper sizes.
