  2. VIRTUALLY YOURS, PART 1

  4. MACINTOSH, ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  5.  
  6. Turn Virtual Memory OFF (under Control Panels, Memory).
  7. It can cause this application to exit!
  8.  
  9. Mac users can boost performance and memory allocation,  
  10. by dragging the Virtually Yours icon onto their hard drive
  11. and selecting "Get Info" under the File Menu.  There is a 
  12. memory setting box where you can boost the memory allocation 
  13. for the VIRTUALLY YOURS (Macromedia Director's run time Player).  
  14. You can only do this when the program is idle, 
  15. not while it is running!
  16.  
  17. NAVIGATION THROUGH VIRTUALLY YOURS:
  18.  
  19. Cursors have been added for navigational hints.
  20. When you are in hallways and rooms:
  21. Click in the center of the screen to go forward, or
  22. to open a door or launch a movie.  Click on the left
  23. side of the screen to turn to the left.  Click on the
  24. right side of the screen to turn right.  
  25.  
  26. KEYBOARD COMMAND TO EXIT VIRTUALLY YOURS:
  27.  
  28. MAC: COMMAND-. (APPLE KEY & PERIOD)
  29.  
  30. HOT SPOTS IN THE DIGITAL MOVIES:
  31.  
  32. Cursors have been added toi aid in navigation.
  33.  
  34. IN MONIQUE'S VIEWING CHAMBER, THE HOLODECK ROOM, 
  35. THE VIDEOS CAN BE PAUSED AND UN-PAUSED BY CLICKING ONCE 
  36. ON THE VIDEO IMAGE.
  37.  
  38. IN OTHER PARTS OF THE PROGRAM, CLICKING THE VIDEO WINDOW 
  39. WILL TOGGLE BETWEEN ENABLING AND HIDING THE QUICKTIME
  40. PLAYER'S CONTROLS.
  41.  
  42. Sometimes the program looses its ability to continually 
  43. repeat a sound loop.  Don't worry, if you move on to other parts 
  44. of VIRTUALLY YOURS, the audio will return.
  45.  
  46. If all else fails, QUIT and restart the program!
  47.
