  10. NetPopup is a realtime way to send messages in Internet 
  11. or TCP/IP-network. Messages are sent directly, using 
  12. multithreading, to other computer(s) without an e-mail 
  13. server.

  15. Since most users has dynamic IP-address, NetPopup has 
  16. built-in feature, Seeker ,which allows you easily to 
  17. search other NetPopups from the net.

  19. NetPopup also has a Connection Wizard to help you send your 
  20. IP-address or messages via e-mail to your friend.

  22. You can send messages to NetPopup with commandline-tool 
  23. from your own programs or batch-files.

  28. 1. What is Netpopup?
  29. --------------------------
  30.     It's a realtime way to send messages to Your friend while 
  31.     your're logged on the Internet. 
  32.     It works just like Winpopup on local network.
  33.     NetPopup has also built-in fingerdaemon which is used to 
  34.     serve normal finger-queries and with Seeker-utility 
  35.     it helps you to track your friends from dynamic IP-addresses.

  40.     E-mailing take's always few minutes before mail is read and 
  41.     another few minutes before reply arrive. NetPopup messages
  42.     are received in few seconds after they are sent.

  46. 3. How NetPopup works?

  48.     NetPopup sends messages in separate thread so you can send 
  49.     another message while previous is still on the way.

  52. 4. Installing NetPopup.
  53. --------------------------
  54.     There's no installing program. Just create subdirectory and copy
  55.     NetPopup in it.

  58. 5. Using NetPopup.

  60.     * Find out your friends IP-address or use Connection Wizard
  61.     * Press NEW MESSAGE -button on toolbar (or use menu)
  62.     * Write the message
  63.         * Write the destination name or IP-number to destinationbox or
  64.           select one from list
  65.     * Press SEND -button on toolbar (or use menu)

  67.     The message is sent immediately.

  69.     NetPopup uses simple verifying technique to check transmission.
  70.     Server -side of NetPopup replies the number of bytes it received
  71.     and client -side verifies that bytes received were same as bytes 
  72.     sent.

  74.         When You receive a message with NetPopup You can use REPLY -button
  75.         and sender's address is automatically copied to host-name.
