  11.     SecureCom is a small and fast personal communication 
  12. tool.  It is designed to hook two people  up directly 
  13. (without using the IRC channels, servers, IP servers, etc.) for 
  14. a one-on-one  personal text mode chat.
  15.  
  16.     SecureCom utilizes two "Hailing features" to accomplish this.  
  17. One Hailing feature uses a built in seamless e-mail facility to send 
  18. your current IP address to another SecureCom user in a specially 
  19. coded e-mail letter.  The other user (who is checked into the 
  20. net and has SecureCom running in Monitor ON mode) will receive the 
  21. message and prompt him to connect or not connect.

  23.     The other Hailing feature utilizes the use of an internal TCP/IP
  24. server that listens on a preassigned port for direct connection
  25. requests.  One SecureCom user can Hail another user via the 
  26. Internet and/or a Lan directly by just knowing their IP address.   It
  27. sends the Hail (connection request) directly to the IP address and
  28. is handled by SecureCom's internal server that prompts the user to
  29. accept or decline the connection.

  31.     Either of these Hailing methods can be used independently of
  32. one another.

  34.     One button Hailing makes it a simple and painless way to connect
  35. on the Internet or the local network..

  37.     No other servers, e-mail or support software are needed.

  39.     This Windows 95/NT version requires Windows 95 or Windows NT with 
  40. TCP/IP installed and an internet connection with a mail account.

  43. Installing SecureCom for Windows 95/NT
  44.  
  45. After you have unzipped the SC100W.ZIP file, copy SECOM.EXE 
  46. and ReadSC.DOC to a directory (folder) and put a shortcut on 
  47. your Desktop for SECOM.EXE.  SecureCom will create (during use) 
  48. several data files, temporary files and it's own .INI file.
  49.  
  50. The ReadSC.DOC help file is not required for SecureCom to 
  51. function properly but is required if you want or need to access 
  52. the SecureCom help file through the Help menu.  
  53.  
  54. NOTE : The ReadSC.DOC can be read with WordPad or Word 6.0
  55. or later.

  57. If you are already registered you must also copy your main.key 
  58. file to the same folder as the SECOM.EXE file to keep the program 
  59. registered.
