  5. PowerMapper is a 32-bit Windows application that creates graphical site 
  6. maps in HTML/GIF format. PowerMapper comes in two flavors:
  7.  
  8. Registered Version
  9. The fully functioning commercial version.
  10.  
  11. Evaluation Version
  12. A freely distributable version that contains all the features of the
  13. registered version, except:
  14.  
  15. - maps can only be used for evaluation purposes
  16. - there is a background watermark on all maps
  17. - JPEGs are produced instead of GIFs (JPEGs are roughly twice the
  18.   size of the equivalent GIF)
  19.

  22. Running Setup
  23. =============
  24. Run the enclosed Windows installer mapdem20.exe or mapper20.exe. This 
  25. setup wizard guides you through the setup process, letting you choose 
  26. where PowerMapper will be installed. A de-installer is also included 
  27. which is accessed from the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.

  29. Supported Platforms

  32. Hardware:   486/Pentium PC with 256 color display or better and 16MB of 
  33.             RAM (32MB recommended for mapping large sites)
  34. Software:   Windows 95 or NT 4.0 with Internet Explorer 3.0 or later

  36. The software will not run on Windows 3.1 or NT 3.51. The software also 
  37. runs with Internet Explorer 4.0, but has not been extensively tested.
