  1. RELEASE CONTENTS
  2. ----------------
  3. This evaluation release contains the following files:
  4.  
  5. install.exe      Internet Exchange for cc:Mail Installation Program to be
  6.                  run under Microsoft Windows.
  7.  
  8. imasetup.exe     Internet Exchange setup program - this is launched by
  9.                  install.exe, and need not be run separately.
  10.  
  11. iesuppl.exe      A self extracting zip file that contains the supplement
  12.                  to the Gateway Administrator's Manual.  All sections
  13.                  dealing with the installation and configuration of the
  14.                  gateway are included.
  15.  
  16.                  The resulting file, iesuppl.wri is a Microsoft Write
  17.                  document that can be viewed under Windows using Write.
  18.  
  19.                  WARNING: Do not attempt to extract this file on the
  20.                  floppy diskette.  The resulting Write file is several
  21.                  megabytes in size and will not fit on a single diskette.
  22.  
  23. iedoc.exe        A self extracting zip file that contains the  
  24.                  installation and operation sections of the Gateway 
  25.                  Administrator's Manual.  These sections describe the 
  26.                  requirements and installation procedures for Internet 
  27.                  Exchange for cc:Mail.
  28.                  
  29.                  The resulting file, ierelse.wri, is a Microsoft Write 
  30.                  document that can be viewed under Windows using Write.

  53. LICENSING PROCEDURES
  54. --------------------
  55. In order to operate Internet Exchange for cc:Mail, a license key is
  56. required.  This key is supplied by International Messaging Associates Ltd
  57. and is based upon the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the gateway 
  58. host and the termination date of the evaluation license.  The FQDN is
  59. based upon the combination of the local Internet host name and the local
  60. Internet Domain Name.

  62. To obtain an evaluation license, simply fill in the supplied registration
  63. form, located in the register.wri file (a Microsoft Write document) and
  64. send it either via email to eval-auth@ima.com, or to the following address
  65. for processing:

  76. Once received, a 30-day license key will be generated and returned to you
  77. as quickly as possible.  Please be sure to complete the attached registration
  78. form, as only fully filled in registration forms can be processed.

  81. ERRATA TO THE SUPPLEMENT MANUAL
  82. -------------------------------
  83. *  useHostname Variable Default Value
  84.    The default value for the useHostname variable is YES, even though
  85.    the manual shows a screen shot with the default as NO.  This default
  86.    ensures continuity with the previous releases.
  87.  
  88. *  Autoshutdown
  89.    If autoshutdown is set, the gateway shuts down at the correct time.
  90.    However, if it is restarted in the same hour as it was shutdown,
  91.    Internet Exchange will again shutdown immediately.  The solution is
  92.    to restart the gateway in a different hour than it was shutdown,
  93.    e.g. shutdown at 2:30 and restart at 3:00.
