  10. This program was designed for Windows 3.1x, but during development, it has
  11. been run a great deal under the Win 95 OS.
  12.  
  13. Under Win 95 there is one idiosyncrasy - During File I/O, when attempting
  14. to open some system files, an error message will be displayed indicating
  15. that the file in question is already in use.
  16. The distinction here is that the POWER-STAMP error-checking is
  17. circumvented, and the message display is less than elegant, and inconsistant
  18. with the POWER-STAMP internal error display.
  19. Other than the lack of aesthetics, this situation will not cause any
  20. inconvenience.

  22. Installation Notes:

  24. From the Windows Program Manager...
  25.  
  26. 1. Select <File>
  27. 2. Select <Run>
  28. 3. Type   <PS_Setup>
  29.    (If you are reading this file, then the archive has obviously been
  30.     decompressed already, and these first three steps must seem a bit
  31.     irrelevent?!)
  32. 4. Repeat <Steps 1 through 2>
  33. 3. Type <Path from which POWER-STAMP Files will be installed> Plus Setup.exe
  34. 4. Press <Enter Key>
  35.  
  36. Elaboration of step number three:
  37. ---------------------------------
  38. If you had copied the POWER-STAMP files to Directory -> "C:\Bogus"
  39. 1. For both of the two steps below you would select <File> <Run>
  40.    from the Windows Program manager, and type the following:

  42. A. You would type: "C:\Bogus\PS_Setup"  ;Extracts Setup files.
  43. B. You would type: "C:\Bogus\Setup.exe" ;Installs POWER-STAMP.
  44. C. Follow the prompts that will be displayed.
